Partner and former Practice Head of Real Estate EMEA (Retired December 2019)
Norton Rose Fulbright LLP
Lindsay retired from Norton Rose Fulbright in December 2019 after more than 30 years as a partner in their award-winning Real Estate team. With extensive experience in all aspects of commercial property work, she regularly acted for major international investors on high-profile and complex transactions, often involving cross -border elements, and on multi-million pound office, residential and retail portfolio deals.
Noteworthy transactions include:
Acting for Canadian Pension Fund, Ivanhoe Cambridge, on their investment into London multi-family/PRS schemes – with over £2bn of acquisitions in their portfolio
Acting for a German consortium on the acquisition of Olympia Exhibition Centre, which is in the course of major expansion and development/regeneration
Acting for numerous institutional clients on their HQ acquisitions and developments – including London Head Offices for Prudential Group and ING Bank
In addition to maintaining a very busy transactional practice - being recognised in multiple directories as a leading individual – Lindsay was also a member of the Norton Rose management team and was heavily involved in the integration of the firm as it grew internationally via merger and combination. As Practice Head, Lindsay built the international real estate teams in EMEA and was involved in their management and development.
She was also Head of Graduate Recruitment and long-term member of the Promotions Committee, responsible for the promotion of internal and external candidates to the Partnership.
Lindsay has been actively involved in supporting women in the wider real estate sector as a past Chairman and committee member of the London and South East branch of Women in Property and, proudly, as a founding Board member and immediate past Chair of CREW UK.
