Heidi Blau

Heidi Blau, FAIA, LEED AP, is a Partner and member of the Management Committee at FXCollaborative, a New York City-based architecture, interiors, and planning design firm. Her practice is focused on creating healthy and inspiring places for lifelong cultural and educational experiences. She has led large and complex teams on projects including a new facility for Covenant House New York; the Barnard College Master Plan and LeFrak Center; Columbia University Irving Medical Center’s Haven Plaza; The Webster Apartments; and the transformation of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
Heidi prioritizes a culture of collaboration, collegiality, and respect, and is an advocate for equity, inclusion, and mentorship. She is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and has served on AIA New York’s Professional Practice Committee, Honors and Awards Committee, and the Nominating Committee for the chapter. She is one of two New York State regional representatives to the AIA College of Fellows and is part of the TORCH program’s inaugural class of AIA Fellows mentoring emerging professionals.
Heidi was an adjunct professor at New York University and has been recognized as a leading female practitioner by the Women Builders Council and Professional Women in Construction. Heidi joined AREW in 2008, has served on the AREW board, and has been an active committee member of CREW New York since the merger of the two organizations.
