LONDON (19 June, 2020)—Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) UK announced today the launch of the CREW UK Connects Mentorship Programme. This one-of-kind digital mentor platform enables individuals to build personal connections in the industry with senior executives in commercial real estate and network with others through CREW Connects Live discussions. A total of 30 mentors and 60 mentees will engage in the program over six months.
“We are so pleased to launch the CREW UK Connects programme to support women real estate professionals in expanding their business networks and advancing their careers,” said Siobhan Godley, Real Estate Tax Partner with Deloitte and CREW UK Board President. “This programme is the result of the significant and continued investment CREW Network has made in CREW UK in the last three years, and we are grateful for the organisation’s strong support and leadership.”
The initiative is led by Programme Lead Kelli Williams, Associate Director - Gardiner & Theobald, and CREW UK Programme Consultant Michelle Cooper. Studies have long proven that identifying a mentor early in your career enables professionals to gain insights and guidance that is highly relevant for personal and career development. Young professionals will gain an advantage through this talent development opportunity. Partnering with Ladies in Real Estate (LiRE), senior executive men and women in the industry will mentor and give back to professionals up and coming in the business.
“We are pleased to support CREW’s mentoring initiative as an opportunity to learn from others exchanging ideas across the sector and to build global relationships,” said Adina David, Director, Greystar and LiRE founder. “CREW and LiRE promote a similar culture of inclusiveness and openness, which, in my opinion, is key to attracting and retaining talent.”
“The hallmark of CREW Network’s success in North America is the ability to build the talent pipeline and business connections of women in commercial real estate,” stated Wendy Mann, CEO, CREW Network. “Bringing this programme to life in London is a first step toward global connections for women to support and advance their leadership, business acumen and network.”
CREW UK, established in 2017, is an affiliate group of CREW Network, a global business organisation based in the U.S. with over 12,000 members. CREW Network offers the opportunity to find success through business connections, leadership development, industry research, and career opportunities.
